Grab your Ellis passport and join us for one of out biggest days of the year! Our Bluebird Festival is packed with activities happening throughout the day. Giving you plenty to explore around the site.
We’ll have bird banding and mist netting happening on site in the morning and all visitors are welcome to come and watch the professionals in action. There is also a Purple Martin Condo demonstration at 12:00pm, and a Mountain Bluebird Tours and demonstration table at 1:00pm/ At 2:00pm, don’t miss a very special egg talk with ornithologist Dr. Corey Scobie, known for his work with the Royal Alberta Museum and for inspiring young biologists.
You can also check out craft stations running in the morning and afternoon, kids activities from 1:00-4:00pm, our bird themes “Steal Their Look” bird game, facepainting, and Chicken Poop Bingo!
We will also be announcing this year’s Blue Feather award!
