Mushroom Walk & Talk

Come learn all about the mushrooms of Central Alberta with Martin Osis on Saturday, July 5 from 1-3pm. Martin is a member of the Alberta Mycological Society and he’ll be sharing his knowledge of mushrooms found in Central Alberta, field identification of wild mushrooms, forest ecology, and medicinal and toxicological properties of wild mushrooms. Martin will begin with a brief information session, followed by a walk to find mushrooms on the Ellis Nature Centre site. This walk is open to all ages, and all participants must be able to walk for the session, including on some uneven paths. The fee for this workshop is only $15 per person, and 25 spots are available.

If we are less than 48 hours away from an event and you are needing to cancel, please notify us so that we can offer your spot to someone else. Your payment for the event will then become a donation to Ellis Nature Centre. Thanks for your cooperation!
