Medicine Walk – 1:30pm

Clare Butterfly, an Indigenous knowledge keeper, will be joining us on Saturday, July 6 for two medicine walks on our site. These walks will focus on medicinal plants in Central Alberta, how to harvest them, and their various uses. There will be walking involved in this workshop, as you will move around our site to look for plants.

EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY

Please note that for all of our events we require MINIMUM 48 HOURS NOTICE of a cancellation for a refund to be issued. If we are less than 48 hours away from an event and you are needing to cancel, please notify us so that we can offer your spot to someone else. Your payment for the event will then become a donation to Ellis Nature Centre. Thanks for your cooperation!

Join us for indigenous teachings as part of Alberta culture days! We'll have live ceremonies, teachings, storytime, and free lunch!
Join us for a mushroom walk led by Martin Osis on August 4. We'll look for and identify mushrooms on our site.
Join us for a medicinal mushroom talk on Monday, August 4 to learn about various mushrooms and their medicinal properties.
Make a dandelion salve, excellent for relieving sore muscles and joints, with plants harvested at Ellis Nature Centre. Make salve at the workshop and take more dandelion home to do it on your own!
