Join Métis artist and cultural educator Alexa Lizotte for a hands-on Wolf Willow Beading Workshop. In the workshop, you’ll learn about the history and cultural significance of the Wolf Willow (Silver Berry), including its traditional uses in First Nations and Métis art and culture.
Participants will then prepare their own Wolf Willow beads and create a piece to take home, such as a bracelet or earrings.
The workshop runs for 3 hours, starting at 10:00am, is open to ages 12+. This workshop is $20 and requires pre-registration.
Please note that this is likely to be an outdoors event but can take place inside depending on weather conditions.
