Porcupine Quill Beading Workshop

Join us as we welcome welcome Alexa Lizotte as she hosts a Porcupine Quill Beading Workshop!

Join us as we welcome back Alexa Lizotte of Desert Metis Creations for another beading workshop! This time, we’re getting a little prickly and exploring the beautiful art of porcupine quillwork.

Learn about the traditional use of porcupine quills in Indigenous beadwork and create your own piece to take home. Alexa will guide participants through the process, sharing her knowledge, techniques, and plenty of tips along the way.

Whether you’ve joined us for one of Alexa’s workshops before or this is your first time picking up a needle, you’re welcome to come learn and create with this unique art form.

Note: This workshop is ages 14+.

Please note that for all of our events we require MINIMUM 48 HOURS NOTICE of a cancellation for a refund to be issued. If we are less than 48 hours away from an event and you are needing to cancel, please notify us so that we can offer your spot to someone else. Your payment for the event will then become a donation to Ellis Nature Centre. Thanks for your cooperation!
