Welcome to our parented Knee high Nature Summer Programs, running from July 7 – August 20 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00-11:30am. Each program is $8 per child and welcomes up to 15 children aged 3-6, engaging in themes such as Indigenous Knowledge, Wildlife Explorations, and more. Programs include a craft, story time, and outdoor activity on site that reflects the weekly theme.
Please note that this is NOT a drop-off program and parents/guardians are required to accompany children.

Program Themes
July 7 & 9: Outdoor Survivalists (Survival Skills): Practice beginner outdoor skills while building confidence exploring, navigating, and staying safe in the wild.

July 14 & 16: Nature’s Artists (Environmental Art): Create art inspired by the natural world using colours, textures, and materials found outdoors as creative tools

July 21 & 23: Wildlife Explorers (Wildlife Learning): Discover and observe the animals that call Ellis home while learning how they live and interact with their environment.

July 28 & 30: Field Scientists (Citizen Science): Take part in simple, hands-on activities that reflect how real-world science is done and how observations help us understand nature.

August 4 & 6: Young Agrarians (Farm & Husbandry): Build your appreciation for gardens as we explore how plants grow and how food makes its way from the ground and into our homes.

August 11 & 13: Land-based Learners (Indigenous Knowledge): Explore plant teachings, wildlife, seasonal cycles, and the ways the land provides food, medicine, and stories.

August 18 & 20: Outdoor Survivalists (Survival Skills): Practice beginner outdoors skills while building confidence exploring, navigating, and staying safe in the wild.
