Dip your toes into the world of citizen science by joining Ellis Nature Centre’s BioBlitz on Saturday, May 31! We will be focusing on species found on our site in three broad categories: birds, insects, and plants. Participants will help our leaders discover the species on the Ellis Nature Centre site and help us collect valuable data which will help drive future research. This event is happening all day, with activities around the different species on a rotating schedule. Keep an eye on our website and social media for more details!

Drop-in, no pre-registration required!

Make a dandelion salve, excellent for relieving sore muscles and joints, with plants harvested at Ellis Nature Centre. Make salve at the workshop and take more dandelion home to do it on your own!
Discover Alberta's bats with Cory Olsen from Alberta Bats. Learn, observe, and maybe meet a rehabilitated bat! Bring your curiosity and sense of adventure!
Paint your own birdhouse to look like birch trees under the guidance of ENC staff.
Join Cree Metis artist Shelly Rose May to make a medicine doll. These dolls are made with intention to help guide you.
