Ellis Nature Centre Birding

Join Ellis Nature Centre as we host a 2-hour birding session during the height of migratory bird season!

Join Ellis Nature Centre as we host a 2-hour birding session during the height of migratory bird season! You will wind your way through the beautiful grounds and gardens of Ellis Nature Centre, birding as you go. We will be on the lookout for avian insectivores including Tree Swallows, Purple Martins, and migratory warblers! With over 150 species identified here at Ellis, we will look for as many as we can together in a small birding group.

Throughout these sessions, we will review ID keys such as habitat, behavior, color patterns, shapes, and ranges of the birds we encounter. We will re-introduce our community science apps and demo them in the field together, including iNaturalist, eBird, and Merlin.

Come and enjoy the sight and sounds of this year’s spring migratory bird with Ellis Nature Centre!
