Join us for indigenous teachings as part of Alberta culture days! We'll have live ceremonies, teachings, storytime, and free lunch!
Celebrate Plants, People, and Places here at the Ellis Nature Centre on September 13 & 14.

Join us on Saturday and Sunday, September 13 & 14, for a day of tours, teachings, and traditional knowledge as a part of Alberta Culture Days! We’ll be hosting a variety of Indigenous activities on our site, including an opening ceremony, Tipi Teachings, and free bannock and soup for lunch. Join us as our indigenous partners, Elder Dean, Charlenes and Russel Burns, Orlean Lizotte, Linda Ophus, and Clare Butterfly share their knowledge!

Cost: Free, pre-registration is encouraged

Help us harvest honey from our honey bee hives, and learn all about honey bees in the process!
Come learn all about American Kestrels, North America's smallest raptors from Strix Ecological, a team dedicated to finding out more about these birds! We'll also look for other hawks & raptors on our site.
