Plantain Salve Making

Join us on Saturday, June 20 from 2 – 3:30PM for a hands-on workshop where participants will create their own plantain salve! Plantain has been used by many Indigenous groups as a natural, gentle remedy known for helping soothe cuts and relieve dry skin. Using plantain harvested right here at Ellis Nature Centre, we will combine plantain infused sunflower oil with coconut oil, beeswax, and your essential oil of choice to make a take-home jar of salve. Participants may harvest additional plantain during the workshop to take home and make their own salve.

This workshop is $10 per person with 30 spots available.

Please note that for all of our events we require MINIMUM 48 HOURS NOTICE of a cancellation for a refund to be issued. If we are less than 48 hours away from an event and you are needing to cancel, please notify us so that we can offer your spot to someone else. Your payment for the event will then become a donation to Ellis Nature Centre. Thanks for your cooperation!
