Guided Birding and Book Presentation with Gavin McKinnon

Join Gavin McKinnon on Saturday, May 23, as he presents his new book, The Field Guide to the Birds of Alberta. Explore the latest in bird identification, learn tips from an expert, and hear Gavin talk about the process behind creating this comprehensive guide. He will also have a table with books available for purchase and signing.

Start the day with a guided birding session from 8:00-10:00 am, then return for the book presentation from 11:00 am-12:00pm. Whether you’re an experienced birder or just starting out, this is a unique opportunity to connect with Alberta’s birds and the experts who know them best.

Please note that for all of our events we require MINIMUM 48 HOURS NOTICE of a cancellation for a refund to be issued. If we are less than 48 hours away from an event and you are needing to cancel, please notify us so that we can offer your spot to someone else. Your payment for the event will then become a donation to Ellis Nature Centre. Thanks for your cooperation!
